Costume includes shirt, tunic, shorts, cape, mask, gloves and boots. All were drafted and assembled by hand, with exception to the tights & R patch.
The tunic zips up the back for ease of on/off.
Jon Snow's costume is five layers: linen undershirt, leather short sleeve tunic (front laced), leather jerkin (buckled), linen cape belted across the chest. He also wears a hand-dyed sheepskin pelt; this snaps to the gathered cape at the shoulders.
Since Ygritte's costume relied so much on the shape of the pelts, her coat was draped and pinned until made screen accurate; this was done first with muslin, followed by fake fur, and then finally fur.
The snow is made with wax, paint, and various acrylic thickeners.
