A few shots off my camera from the Game of Thrones photoshoot we did in June with the group we won 1st place at Emerald City Comic-Con with. This is myself and Colin as Ygritte & Jon Snow. I’ll post more later. :)

Related, we wore these to SDCC for a huge Game of Thrones photo meetup. We lasted about 2.5 hours, even indoors. Yep!

Spectacular cosplays at Emerald City Comic Con

Jon Snow looks like Will from Hannibal. Pretty awesome cosplays all around.

Here’s a great shot of Colin & I as John Snow & Ygritte, as well as Melinda as Cersei Lannister & little A as Bran Stark. This is only four of the seventeen members in our cosplay group - and we took home first place at the costume competition for group category! Go team.

I wrote a blog post about making armor for Lo’s Classic Iron Man over on Comic Booked! It’s currently spotlighted - check it out. Also: stay tuned here - I’ll be posting some other specifics and different details.

Planning a pretty stellar photoshoot when the rain stops. Until then, will be posting some progress stuff & detail shots soon.

Lo & the Classic Iron Man costume we made together. The Arc Reactor & palm lasers glow, but it was too bright.

An update

Things have been busy over here in the Aidan world and I have a lot to tell you guys!

But most excitedly I wanted to tell you that I’m the new cosplay writer over at Comic Booked and my first article should be out sometime next week! I’ve been encouraged to write about whatever suits my fancy, so I have a lot of loose ideas on subjects I think i want to cover, such as costume assembly tips and round-ups from the conventions I go to, but also spotlights on individual cosplayers/groups and things like that!

So if you have any ideas or questions for stuff you want to see (or if you want to be a spotlight!), send me a message. Please do!!!

As far as this blog goes, look for some updates soon on making Lo an Iron Man costume. see also: ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Some con shots of my Hyde costume from Steamcon this year, which included way too many snaps ever. At some point we’ll have to get proper photographs of the costume, including the little details you can’t see in these shots, sadly.

S as Olivia the Pig from Olivia Saves the Circus, also known as: In Which I Drafted & Patterned the Tiniest Tailcoat Everrrrrrrrrr

So I don’t have any photographs of the boys on Halloween, on account I wasn’t there and as it was Halloween night, it would have been too dark for proper photographs. It’ll probably be a bit before we get some good shots of them, as Seattle’s now in its fantastic perpetual rain period, so planning in advance for things like photoshoots isn’t really a good idea. Have to think of some good locations for a Creeper and Beast Boy photo shoots, too.

So here’s some belated photos of Astro Boy!
